La Ronde, France

I will be teaching a “Zipper” workshop at the atelier of Marlène Touka in La Ronde, France.

When: Sept. 23 -27, 2024

*NOTE* Some time will be available for you to explore the beautiful area around the atelier.

Where: 16 l'angle d'oie, 17170 La Ronde, France

Cost: 500€ per person.

In this workshop, I will guide you step by step through the creation of your very own 30 cm x 30 cm zipper mosaic. This includes substrate preparation, using the hammer and hardie to cut marble and smalti, mosaic design principles using zippers and how to adhere a zipper. Two zipper designs will be available for you to choose from for your own mosaic or you can use your own design if you prefer.

Substrates and materials are included. The materials we supply will be primarily stone, smalti and a zipper. If you have a specific material that you would like to include in your mosaic, feel free to bring it along. Tools are also included but if you prefer to use your own tools, bring them with you.
